Lake Road Project

A small lake cottage was given big life throughout a remodel that was featured in HGTV Magazine. Pops of yellow and blue can be found throughout. The kitchen went through the largest remodel and while the footprint stayed the same, a lot more organization was added, making life on Lake Erie even better!

My husband and I hired a decorator for the first time because we purchased a house with a small kitchen that I wanted to turn into a cook’s kitchen. Ashleigh did a beautiful job with the kitchen and our entire first floor. She had so many good ideas that we would not have thought of. The colors, the space, the cabinets, the furniture. All of it is beautiful. She really listened to us and what we liked and I have my cook’s kitchen.

One of Laureen and Ron Nowakowski’s goals for retirement was to entertain more. “We love having friends and family over for dinner,” Laureen says. The couple had been living in New Jersey and decided to move back to Ohio, where they’re from. But the cute little cottage they had their eyes on in Rocky River was, well, a little cottage. Laureen remembers telling her book club that there wouldn’t be room to fit many guests in their new dining room. “They assured me I could do buffets,” she says. Here, Laureen and Ron sit in the cottage's sunroom.
